Rafael Nadal dropped just fives games in a quarter-final rout of seventh seed Kei Nishikori.
The Spaniard beat Japanese 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to a 12th semi-final at Stade Roland Garros.
He will meet a Swiss player – either Roger Federer or Stan Wawrinka – for a place in another final in Paris.
Nadal completely dominated the world No.7, who struggled with an upper arm injury – requiring several visits from the trainer – as the match wore on.
The 11-time Roland-Garros led 4-2 in the third set before storms swept across Paris, delaying play for 70 minutes.
When the match resumed, Nadal quickly resumed control, and ran out a winner in one hour and 51 minutes.
The victory extends his head-to-head record over Nishikori to 11-2.
